The current COVID-19 pandemic has meant that the EAUC has put all face to face meeting on hold.    We are currently planning to go ahead with the programme later on in the year, and are keeping a close eye on the developing situation and government directives to advise any decisions.  In the interim we are also working hard to secure a new date and venue for this event, so please bear with us as we wait with you to hear more.  We hope to set a new date and venue soon, please be assured that we will update this website as soon as we know more.

Welcome to CLIMATE

You - Me - All of us

The impact of a heating climate is touching every aspect of our lives, our homes, our work, communities and nations. At this continued rate, it will cause disruption like never seen before. There is the potential to limit this disruption, through the power of education and the education sector. We must overcome the complexity and uncertainty of unprecedented climate change by mitigating, adapting and creating climate solutions.

This major event will bring together the key stakeholders from UK and Ireland universities and colleges, and inspire and co-ordinate the sector to assume its position at the forefront of the climate damage limitation movement.

We have a responsibility as educators, as community pillars and hubs for research to proactively adapt, limit risks and seek solution to this catastrophic problem. In the face of this unprecedented threat, whether you focus on teaching, research, business support, sustainability leadership or you are a student, we all need to work together in new, more innovative and aligned ways. This conference will provide a platform to create solutions – it will facilitate knowledge exchange and foster resilience and adaptation.

As the founding partner of the Climate Commission for UK Higher and Further Education Leaders, the conference will also provide unique insights into the work of the Commission, and outline opportunities for delegates to contribute in the lead up to the UN Climate Change Summit COP26 in Glasgow in November 2020.

Please keep an eye on the Conference page for the upcoming Agenda and updates on our speakers.
